Impulse drill is an indispensable tool in the process of decoration. How should we use it correctly? Today, I have prepared this part of the content. Now let's learn it with me.
1. What is the role of impact drill?
Impulse drill is an electric tool for drilling on bricks, blocks and light walls, which is mainly rotary cutting and has an impact mechanism which relies on the operator's thrust to produce impact force.
The impact drill is usually made into adjustable structure. When adjusting the rotating impact-free position, ordinary twist drills can drill holes in metal; when adjusting the impact position of rotating belt, drills with cemented carbide can drill holes in brittle materials such as bricks, concrete and so on.
Impulse drill can greatly improve work efficiency, and it has been widely used in indoor circuit laying and other work.
2. How to use impact drill correctly?
(1) Trial operation before operation. The percussive drill should run for 30 to 60 seconds before operation. When it runs without load, the sound of the drill should be uniform and no abnormal noise. When adjusting the adjusting ring to the impact position and putting the bit on the hardwood, there should be obvious and strong impact feeling; when adjusting the adjusting ring to the drilling position, there should be no impact phenomenon.
(2) The impact force of impact drill is produced by the operator's axial feed pressure, which is different from the operation of electric hammer; the axial feed pressure should be moderate and not too large. Excessive assembly aggravates the wear and tear of impact drill and affects its service life, while too small affects its working efficiency.
(3) When drilling deep holes with percussive electric drill, the bit should be pushed back and forth several times when drilling to a certain depth to eliminate drilling cuttings. This can reduce bit wear, improve drilling efficiency and prolong the service life of percussive electric drill.
3. What should we pay attention to when using impact drill?
(1) Before operation, it is necessary to check whether the power supply is in accordance with the conventional rated 220V voltage on the power tools, so as not to be misconnected to 380V power supply.
(2) Before using the impact drill, please carefully check the body insulation protection, auxiliary handle and depth ruler adjustment, and check whether the machine has screw loosening.
(3) Percussive electric drills must be loaded with percussive drills or general drills for drilling according to material requirements.
(4) The conductor of the percussive electric drill should be well protected, and it is strictly forbidden to drag in disorder.
(5) The power socket of the impact drill must be equipped with leakage switch device.
(6) When electric leakage, abnormal vibration, high heat or abnormal sound of impact drill are found in the course of use, the work shall be stopped immediately and timely checked and repaired.
(7) When the percussive electric drill replaces the drill bit, the special wrench and the key of the drill bit should be locked (as shown in Figure 2-42), so as to eliminate the use of non-special tools to percussive drill.
(8) When using the percussive electric drill, remember not to exert too much force, but to exert even force in operation.
4. How to maintain the impact drill in peacetime?
(1) Ensure the overall integrity of the percussive electric drilling rig body and do a good job in removing dirt.
(2) Replace the carbon brush of the impact drill regularly and check the spring pressure.
(3) Check periodically whether the parts of the percussive drill are damaged or not. If the damage is serious and can not be reused, it should be replaced in time.
(4) Check regularly whether the bearings, gears and cooling vanes of the transmission part are flexible and intact, and add lubricant to the rotating part in time to prolong the service life of the impact drill.
(5) After use, it should be put into the toolbox for proper storage.
Having read the above, have you learned how to use the percussion drill and what to pay attention to?
